to-the-point: BayWa completes solar diesel project in Senegal

June 20 (Renewables Now) - The renewables unit of German diversified group BayWa AG (ETR:BYW6) has implemented a project in Senegal that involved installing four solar photovoltaic (PV) diesel hybrid systems totalling 800 kWp.

With the help of installation partner Dieng & Co Engineering SAS, BayWa re renewable energy GmbH has deployed the four arrays on four new ministerial buildings and carports. The project was executed on behalf of the Senegalese government.

BayWa re was in charge of planning and delivering the components, and also provided on-site support during construction and commissioning. A team from off-grid specialist OneShore Energy, part of the BayWa group, was involved in the project as well.
