January 12 (Renewables Now) - Indian solar power producer Azure Power Global Ltd (NYSE:AZRE) said today it has commissioned a 100-MW solar park in the state of Telangana.

The company secured the project in an auction by Indian power utility NTPC Ltd (BOM:532555) under the government's National Solar Mission Phase-II, Batch-II Tranche-I. It will supply power from the facility to NTPC at a tariff of INR 4.67 (USD 0.073/EUR 0.061) per kWh over a period of 25 years.

Azure Power, which has a portfolio of around 1,600 MW in India, earlier this week announced it has won a 200-MW photovoltaic (PV) project in an auction held by Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI).
