January 3 (Renewables Now) - Luxembourg-based steel giant ArcelorMittal (NYSE:MT) has made an offer to acquire French solar tracking equipment maker Exosun SAS, the Luxemburger Wort said on Wednesday.

ArcelorMittal has filed a request with the commercial court in Bordeaux, according to the report. Exosun is currently in receivership.

In October, EDF Energies Nouvelles (EDF EN) commissioned a 12-MWp solar power plant in the Fos-sur-Mer industrial and port complex in France, where ArcelorMittal owns 1,600 ha (3,954 acres).
