Swiss power and automation group ABB (VTX:ABBN) last week said it has supplied inverters to the 51-MWp Kayseri OSB solar power plant, described as the largest in Turkey.
The solar park uses 46 units of ABB's 1,000 kW PVS800 central inverters, housed in concrete cabins to meet local requirements and to protect the inverters from harsh conditions on site.
The power plant was built by Seferoglu Elektrik/Efektif Enerji as an engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contractor. The Kayseri OSB industrial park started investing in solar in 2014 with a 6-MW array and additional investments in 2016 brought the plant's capacity to 51 MWp.
According to the announcement, ABB has delivered over 1000 MW of solar inverters to projects in Turkey.
