The Schaper Group will install up to 40 MWh of energy storage systems supplied by Tesvolt GmbH as part of a range of green hydrogen projects being developed for Apex Group.
Tesvolt announced this today, saying that this new contract will generate some EUR 40 million (USD 46.5m) in revenue for the Wittenberg-based company by 2023. It noted that this is its largest order to date.
The Schaper Group will deploy the batteries for use at times of insufficient solar and wind power supply for the electrolysers.
Hermann Huss, owner and managing director of the Schaper Group, commented that the group has been working with Tesvolt on various projects for almost three years now. “Together we want to develop further green energy solutions for manufacturing companies in the future,” he added.
