November 6 (Renewables Now) - Tesla Inc (NASDAQ:TSLA) can now breathe a sigh of relief after resolving a legal dispute with US retailer Walmart Inc (NYSE:WMT), which accused Elon Musk’s company of negligence in installing and operating solar panels on top of many of its stores.

The two companies said in a joint statement quoted by various media that they have resolved the issues and are looking forward to safely restarting the rooftop solar systems that were de-energised earlier this year.

In August, Walmart lodged a lawsuit claiming that Tesla had demonstrated “gross negligence” when installing and operating solar panels on top of more than two hundred of its stores in the US. Walmart accused Tesla of failing to live up to industry standards, which led to fires breaking out at no fewer than seven stores as of November 2018.

A couple of days after the filing of the lawsuit, the two companies stated they are working to address all issues.
