April 23 (Renewables Now) - French company Technique Solaire today said it has achieved financial close on a 47-MWp portfolio of solar projects won during domestic renewable energy tenders.

The specific portfolio includes 64 solar projects, including greenhouse, rooftop and solar shadehouse. With EUR 54 million (USD 60.8m) of long-term financing, Technique Solaire will support their construction and will also restructure the existing debt on 15 operational assets totalling 2 MWp. Of the total 47 MWp of projects, 19 MWp were also backed through crowdfunding campaigns.

Bpifrance arranged the new financing, having a tenor of over 20 years, while the Credit Agricole Group was both lender and swap bank and among the initial lenders for the operational assets.

Technique Solaire has solar activities in France, India and the Netherlands and also owns biogas methanation plants, through its subsidiary Technique Biogaz.
