Weekly renewables M&A round-up (Jun 27-Jul 1)
Jul 01, 2022 17:05 CEST(SeeNews) – Jul 2, 2012 – Swiss engineering group Von Roll (SWF:ROL) will discontinue its solar activities from the end of July after it could not find a buyer for the unit, spokeswoman Susanne Berger told Swiss paper HandelsZeitung on Friday.
The remaining eleven employees will be dismissed.
At the end of March, CEO Matthias Oppermann unveiled Von Roll's plans to withdraw from the solar business in view of the crisis in the sector. Since then the firm had been looking in vain for an investor.
