(ADPnews) - Jan 19, 2011 - Swiss machine maker Meyer Burger (SWF:MBTN) said today its wholly-owned subsidiary 3S Modultec has sold a solar panel production line to Senegalese solar power firm SPEC.
Additionally, 3S Modultec, which specialises in equipment for solar module producers, will support local SPEC's team with expertise and experience in solar panel production.
Financial details on the deal were not disclosed.
SPEC plans to establish the first solar panel factory in West Africa, which is expected to start production from June 2011.
The 15MW production line sold to SPEC can be expanded to 25MW, Meyer Burger said.
