Long-duration storage firm Energy Dome secures USD 11m in bridge funding round
Jun 30, 2022 15:00 CEST(SeeNews) – Jun 1, 2012 – Swiss machinery maker Komax (SWF:KOMN) said yesterday it will reduce by 70 the headcount in its solar business unit in reaction to the challenging economic environment.
Komax Solar had 285 employees as of the start of 2012, most of whom worked outside Switzerland.
Komax said that the solar market remains attractive for the company in the long term and it will continue to develop its product range and to make marketing efforts.
The company's Medtech business unit is also under pressure due to the continuing strength of the Swiss franc. As clients are postponing projects, Komax Medtech will introduce short-time work at its site in La Chaux-de-Fonds from June. The measure will affect about 150 employees.
