Swinerton Renewable Energy (SRE), the engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contractor for the 30-MW Red Horse 3 solar project in Arizona, expects to complete the particular plant this quarter.
The company said in a statement on Tuesday that it was chosen by DE Shaw Renewable Investments LLC (DESRI) to build the solar park after successfully implementing the adjacent Red Horse 2 wind and solar project. Blymyer Engineers will offer engineering services.
The new Phase III plant near Willcox will feature Sungrow central inverters, JinkoSolar modules and single-axis trackers made by Array Technologies. Its output will be fed directly into the Tucson Electric Power grid.
In addition to building the plant, SRE will be responsible for operating and maintaining the facility for a period of 10 years.
