(ADPnews) - Sep 10, 2010 - Canadian photovoltaic (PV) company Sustainable Energy Technologies Ltd (CVE:STG) said on Wednesday that it has signed an agreement with PV systems provider tenKsolar Inc to develop product applications and co-marketing systems.
Under the partnership, the two companies will collaborate in developing product applications and co-marketing system under the RAIS WAVE and/or PARALEX brand name. The RAIS Wave system combines PV modules, reflectors and racking configured in a repeating wave pattern to provide higher energy density. It integrates inverter technology from Sustainable Energy.
The companies have already received a 1 MW order from the Stuart C Irby Company, a division of electrical distributor Sonepar US. This latest contract brings the total order volume to date to around 1.2 MW.
TenKsolar forecasts orders of an average of 1 MW per month for 2011, with the potential to grow in the latter part of 2011.
Based on a recent study by British company IMS Research, the two companies anticipate an addressable market for the REIS Wave system and Sustainable Energy's SUNERGY system will amount to more than 1,800 over the next four years.
