Weekly renewables M&A round-up (May 23-27)
May 27, 2022 17:26 CEST(SeeNews) - Oct 17, 2012 - German solar firm Sunways AG (ETR:SWW) said today it had received an order to supply 295 kW of building-integrated photovoltaic (BIPV) cells to the US head office of Swiss drug maker Novartis (VTX:NOVN).
The deal includes the installation of 161,000 monocrystalline, semitransparent design solar cells on the roof of a building in East Hanover, New Jersey.
The German company did not disclose any financial details of the deal.
The worldwide market for BIPV walling is expected to surpass USD 1.5 billion (EUR 1.1bn) by 2016, market researcher NanoMarkets said in a study published at the beginning of September 2012.
