Sunnova kicks off secondary common stock offering

US residential solar and battery storage company Sunnova Energy International Inc (NYSE:NOVA) announced today that some of its shareholders are selling common stock in an underwritten public offering.

Certain investors, including affiliates of Energy Capital Partners, have launched an offering of 8 million shares of Sunnova common stock and some of them plan to grant the underwriters a 30-day option to buy an additional 1.2 million shares, the statement reads.

Sunnova stressed it will not receive any of the proceeds as it is not offering any shares of its common stock.

JP Morgan, BofA Securities, Credit Suisse and Goldman Sachs & Co LLC serve as joint book-running managers in this transaction.

Earlier this month, Sunnova closed the sale of asset-backed notes worth a total USD 158.5 million (EUR 141.3m).
