(SeeNews) - Jul 9, 2012 - SunEdison, a unit of US silicon wafer maker MEMC Electronic Materials Inc (NYSE:WFR), has divested its 60-MW solar power plant in southern Bulgaria to Malta-based ACF Renewable Energy, Bulgarian Capital Daily reported yesterday.
The BGN-350-million (USD 219.9m/EUR 179m) solar plant, which includes 214,000 solar modules on 1,000 decares (299 acres) of land, was connected to the grid in March. It is expected to produce enough power to supply some 27,000 households, the daily said.
