Nov 21, 2011 - US solar power firm SunEdison, a unit of MEMC Electronic Materials (NYSE:WFR), last week said it had obtained USD 110 million (EUR 81.4m) financing for 50 MW of solar projects in India.
The Overseas Private Investment Corp, L&T Infrastructure Finance Company Ltd and Infrastructure Development Finance Company Ltd have provided the financing.
The solar plants, located in the states of Gujarat and Rajasthan, can produce 84,000 MWh of electricity in the first year of operation, according to SunEsidon.
