Sep 21, 2012 - US solar system developer Standard Solar Inc today said it had installed a photovoltaic (PV) system at the Catholic University of America (CUA) in Washington's District of Columbia.
The system includes some 2,600 solar panels that will produce more than 830,000 kWh of power a year, including a solar parking canopy with 714 panels, Standard Solar said.
US energy supplier Washington Gas Energy Systems owns and will operate the system. The company will sell its output to CUA under a 20-year power purchase agreement (PPA), signed in 2009.
A ceremony to celebrate the completion of the system was slated for today.
