January 10 (Renewables Now) - SR Investimenti, backed by Pioneer Point Partners LLP-managed funds, has completed the acquisition and refinancing of a 12-MWp solar photovoltaic (PV) portfolio in Italy.

Financing facilities for a total of EUR 31 million (USD 35m) were provided by Intesa SanPaolo, according to Prothea, which served as exclusive financial advisor to SR in relation to this transaction.

The portfolio in question includes 12 solar power plants in Puglia and Umbria with feed-in tariffs in place.

Antonio Urbano, CEO of SR, noted that the firm is engaged heavily in both the acquisition and refinancing of operational assets, as well as in the revamping and optimisation of assets already included in its portfolio.

“We have also obtained the authorizations for the first large project in market parity (about 100 MW in total) and we are in advanced stage to start the construction phase while codeveloping a pipeline in excess of 500 MWp of new capacity of utility scale photovoltaic plants,” Urbano added.
