Jun 25, 2013 - Thai solar park developer SPCG Pcl (MAI:SPCG) said today it had put on stream 29.84 MW of solar parks, bringing its total operational capacity to 137.17 MW.
The five facilities -- two 3.73-MW plants and three of 7.46 MW each -- started commercial operation on June 25 and 26. They will immediately start contributing to SPCG’s revenues, selling their output to the Provincial Electricity Authority of Thailand under long-term power purchase agreements. SPCG has secured a 10-year subsidy of THB 8 (USD 0.26/EUR 0.20) per kWh generated by the solar parks.
Now the company operates total of 21 solar power plants. It has also obtained funding for 15 more projects, two of which are near the commercial operating date. SPCG said it expected to have all 15 farms online before the end of the year.
