Spanish PV association UNEF chooses new president

April 2 (Renewables Now) - The Global Head Site & Permitting at Spanish solar developer and operator X-Elio, Arancha Martinez Navarro, is now the new president of the country's photovoltaic (PV) association Union Espanola Fotovoltaica (UNEF).

Navarro is replacing Jorge Barredo, who has been the head of the institution since June 2012, UNEF announced on Wednesday.

During her more than 12 years of international experience in solar energy, Navarro has worked as a leader and coordinator in the implementation of business development strategies around the world. In all, she has gained experience with the development of over 10 GW of solar capacity in Spain, Italy, France, Mexico, Japan, Chile, the US, South Africa and Australia.
