September 14 (Renewables Now) - Spain’s Soltec Power Holdings SA (BME:SOL) is set to supply 700 MW worth of solar trackers under a newly signed contract with US construction contractor Moss & Associates LLC.

The equipment will be used in the installation of two solar PV plants in the US state of Colorado, the solar tracker manufacturer said on Tuesday.

Soltec said it will supply its SF7 bifacial trackers in a 2-in-portrait configuration for the projects.

Deliveries are due to commence in 2021.

Soltec says the latest order will beef up its operating backlog, which has continued to grow during the first half of 2021 after reaching record levels in 2020. Its tracker manufacturing unit Soltec Industrial had a backlog of EUR 363 million (USD 428.8m) at the end of the second quarter, and a pipeline valued at roughly EUR 2.91 billion, according to the Spanish manufacturer.
