Spanish renewables developer Greenalia announced on Monday that it has acquired three utility-scale solar projects totalling 502 MWp in Texas.
The projects are the 265-MWp Donegal Solar, the 119-MWp Leitrim Solar and the 118-MWp Roscommon Solar. All three are in advanced stages of development, with Greenalia planning to reach commercial operation date in early 2025.
No other details were disclosed.
The acquisition is part of the company’s plan to expand in the US, where it arrived two years ago.
In 2021, Greenalia acquired a company with a ready-to-build solar photovoltaic portfolio of 695 MWp, plus 385 MW of battery storage. This year, the firm added 451 MW of solar projects to the bundle -- Wensowitch, Ratcliff, Reis and Wittig, all of them in Texas.
The latest acquisition boosted Greenalia's solar pipeline in the US to close to 1,700 GW, the company said.
