Spain Alcala de Guadaira municipality to build 100 kW PV solar plant
Dec 11, 2012 - Spanish municipality Alcala de Guadaira will build a 100 kW photovoltaic (PV) solar plant, dubbed FV Complejo Ideal, the local government said in a statement.
The facility will be built by renewable energy company Orisol Corporacion Energetica. Construction works have already begun and are seen to be completed in mid-January 2013.
The plant will have an output of 148,000 kWh a year, sufficient to meet the annual demand of 35 households. FV Complejo Ideal will also be able to save 53 tonnes of CO2 emissions.
With the project, Alcala de Guadaira reaffirms its commitment to renewable energy. The new plant will create jobs and contribute to the environment, Maria Jose Borge, a spokesperson of the municipality, said.
