September 27 (Renewables Now) - Global independent power producer (IPP) Sonnedix Power Holdings Ltd said on Tuesday that it has signed ten-year power purchase agreements (PPAs) with Norway’s Statkraft AS in Italy.
Under the “first four executed PPAs”, the Norwegian state-owned utility will off-take 36 GWh per year from several solar PV farms that Sonnedix is about to build in central and northern Italy, the IPP said. The plants will have 22 MWp of combined capacity.
The PPAs have a pay-as-produced payment structure.
Sonnedix has been operating in Italy since 2010. At present, the firm has over 1.6 GW of solar PV projects in operation, construction and development in the country.
