Independent solar power producer (IPP) Sonnedix Power Holdings Ltd has acquired a 112-MWp portfolio of solar PV projects under development in Spain, it said on Wednesday.
The projects were bought from three Spanish renewables-sector firms -- Circle Energy, Faleuma and Rios Renovables -- for an undisclosed amount.
Rios Renovables will be in charge of the construction of the entire portfolio.
The portfolio comes with seven projects, all located in Valladolid province in north-western Spain and matured to a well-advanced stage of development. Sonnedix said it expects construction works to start in the fourth quarter of 2021.
Sonnedix operates 365 MW across more than 150 projects in Spain. On top of this, it has close to 770 MW of projects under construction and various stages of development in the country, the solar IPP added.
