Ørsted wants all suppliers to use 100% renewable power by 2025
Aug 10, 2022 18:04 CESTOctober 14 (Renewables Now) - Spanish solar trackers maker Soltec Power Holdings SA (BME:SOL) will supply its equipment to a 50-MW photovoltaic (PV) project that is being developed in Spain by Corporacion Acciona Energias Renovables SA (BME:ANE), also know as Acciona Energia.
This supply deal is the first under a three-year framework agreement the companies have just signed, the equipment manufacturer announced today. Soltec did not specify how many projects will be covered by the agreement.
This first PV facility to benefit from the deal is located in the Spanish province of Cuenca. According to Soltec, once it is up and running, the solar park will be able to meet the energy demands of some 14,000 homes and offset 90,000 tonnes of carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions.
Delivery of the equipment, the SF7 bifacial polycrystalline trackers, is set to start this year, Soltec noted.
