Solsol lands Czech solar-plus-storage job by Alten

June 3 (Renewables Now) - Czech solar panel distributor Solsol Ltd has won a tender to install a solar park with an integrated battery storage facility for domestic group Altech spol Sro.

The value of the awarded contract is estimated at CZK 10.5 million (USD 454,200/EUR 406,400), excluding value added tax (VAT), says a notice in the EU’s Tenders Electronic Daily (TED). The solar-plus-storage system will be installed at a site in Uherske Hradiste, in the southeastern part of the Czech Republic. According to an earlier tender notice, the term of the contract will be 90 days.

Solsol is the exclusive distributor of SunPower Corp’s (NASDAQ:SPWR), AU Optronics Corp’s (TPE:2409) and AEG’s photovoltaic (PV) modules in the Czech Republic and also supplies some of Canadian Solar’s (NASDAQ:CSIQ) and EXE Solar’s products.

Also in the Czech Republic, a tender is ongoing for the installation of rooftop photovoltaic (PV) arrays for local firm Ekobrikety sro. Bids for the CZK-6.26-million contract will be accepted by June 28, 2019.
