Solon sells Swiss unit to Taiwanese Delta Electronics
(ADPnews) - Dec 16, 2010 - German solar technology company Solon SE (ETR:SOO1) has sold its Swiss subsidiary Solon Inverters AG to Taiwanese Delta Electronics Group, Solon SE said on Tuesday without naming the price of the deal.
The ownership change is effective immediately, the German company said.
The sale is part of Solon's restructuring, which was launched last year and is aimed at the optimisation of the group's costs structure and the re-orientation of its core businesses and markets.
Solon Inverters AG is specialised in the manufacturing of sinewave inverters for stand-alone installations. It has been part of Solon SE since 2000 and has generated revenue of EUR 2.3 million (USD 3.1m) in 2009.
