Solectria Renewables bags inverters order for 10 MW of solar projects
Dec 14, 2012 - US photovoltaic (PV) inverter maker Solectria Renewables LLC said Wednesday it had secured a contract to supply inverters for 10 MW of rooftop solar systems developed by renewable energy company 1st Light Energy.
Solectria Renewables is delivering inverters for solar arrays installed at 103 facilities of US real estate investment trust (REIT) Extra Space Storage (NYSE:EXR) across the US.
1st Light Energy said 45 of the sites were already complete, 58 systems were under development and Extra Space Storage intended to order installations for more of its facilities next year. The 103 solar installations will have an annual output of more than 11.5 million kWh, enough to supply 997 households, resulting in substantial savings for the REIT.
