SolarWorld's US unit offers financing options for solar projects
(ADPnews) - Sep 24, 2010 - The US arm of German photovoltaic (PV) company SolarWorld AG (ETR:SWV) introduced yesterday a financing option for its customers to install solar power facilities with no money down, as it aims to boost sales.
The funding will come from outside financial-service partners. The new product features a number of options such as leasing solar systems, deferring payments until federal and state incentives can be realised, or striking power purchase agreements with third parties, which will finance the installations. At present, the residential lease is available only for some states in the western part of the country.
