Solarpack closes EUR-94m refinancing of 27-MW PV portfolio in Spain

Spanish solar power developer Solarpack said on Wednesday it has closed a EUR-94-million (USD 103m) debt restructuring of a 27.2-MW photovoltaic (PV) portfolio at home.
More specifically, the company has refinanced five solar parks in Spain, namely the 8.4-MWp Isla Mayor, 3.8-MWp Lebrija, 6.2-MWp Guijo de Coria, 4.8-MWp Llerena 1 and 4-MWp Llerena 2 power facilities. The banks involved in the different deals include Santander, the ICO, Banco Popular, CaixaBank, Banc Sabadell and the Banco Portugues de Investimento (BPI).
The Spanish project developer mentioned in its statement that it is committed to an expansion to new markets in Latin America and in the Asia-Pacific region. The company currently manages a pipeline of projects totalling 1,304 MW, located in Chile, India, Uruguay, Panama and South Africa.
