Solarize powers up 675-kW solar system at Ontario farm

(SeeNews) - Sep 26, 2012 - Canadian solar power firm Solarize Energy LP said Tuesday it had put on stream a 675-kW solar system installed on the roofs of five barns of Van Osch Farms Ltd in Canada’s province of Ontario.

The installation is estimated to produce enough power to cover the annual consumption of 80 local households, while offsetting 924 tonnes of carbon dioxide emission. The output will be sold under Ontario’s feed-in tariff scheme.
