Horizon Solar Power and Solar Spectrum, which now operate under the Sungevity brand, last week announced the acquisition of solar marketing firm BrightCurrent and a unit of Skyline Solar, a provider of management solutions for the solar sector.
More specifically, solar systems installer Horizon Solar Power has bought solar-focused retail marketing services provider BrightCurrent, while Solar Spectrum has taken possession of the photovoltaic (PV) sales division of Skyline Solar, which is engaged in project management, design and construction of PV plants. The buyers did not provide financial details on the two deals.
Horizon Solar Power and Solar Spectrum merged in August, creating the second largest provider of residential solar systems in California and the fourth largest in the US. The companies noted that the two acquisitions were made to enhance the expanded company’s presence in the US and improve its retail and field marketing capabilities.
"Partnering with Skyline Solar and BrightCurrent allows Solar Spectrum and Horizon to take one more step towards our vision of providing homeowners and businesses across the country the highest quality solar solutions, backed by the very best in customer care and industry-leading technology," said Brian Walrod president of Horizon Solar.
