Solar Frontier launches CIS products in Germany, Denmark

Jul 15, 2013 - Japanese solar module maker Solar Frontier said Wednesday it had introduced in Germany and Denmark its copper indium diselenide (CIS) SolarSets systems for use in residential rooftop photovoltaic (PV) projects.

Solar Frontier, a subsidiary of Showa Shell Sekiyu KK (TYO:5002), will offer the solar facilities with capacities of between 2 kWp and 8 kWp in 10 separate configurations.

The SolarSets systems incorporate inverters and CIS modules, Solar Frontier said, adding that the equipment can be ordered directly from its European unit or through its authorised distributors in Germany and Denmark. The products come with a five-year warranty, which can be extended with another two years with online registration.
