The SNEC PV Power Expo, the world’s largest solar trade show, has been postponed to October due to the global spread of the coronavirus COVID-19, the organisers of the event said on Thursday.
This year’s edition of the solar conference and exhibition will be held from October 9 to October 12, 2020, according to an update by the organising committee and the Shanghai New Energy Industry Association. The venue of the trade show will be the National Exhibition Convention Center in Shanghai.
The trade show was originally planned to take place between May 24 and May 27, 2020, with the Shanghai New International Expo Center hosting the exhibition.
This is yet another one of a series of events that were cancelled or delayed due to the global COVID-19 pandemic. This year’s UN climate change summit COP26, scheduled to take place in Glasgow in November, was put off earlier this month, while plans for Intersolar Europe 2020 were scrapped as the continent continues to fight against the crisis.
