July 16 (SeeNews) - Canadian utility-scale solar developer SkyPower Global said on Thursday it has won 150 MW of solar power purchase agreements (PPAs) in the Indian state of Madhya Pradesh's latest procurement process.

The company said that this would be its first project in India after carefully assessing the market for several years now. It expects to unveil more local projects in the months ahead.

One of the upcoming announcements will be about a local solar fund that will provide a platform for investors, partners and stakeholders to invest alongside the company.

SkyPower has more than 25 GW of solar development and activities in over 60 countries. The company has set an objective to secure, develop and build gigawatts of solar power plants in India in the years ahead.
