Dec 11, 2014 - China Singyes Solar Technologies Holdings (HKG:0750) said today it has sold a 30-MW photovoltaic (PV) rooftop systems in Hunan province for CNY 124 million (USD 20m/EUR 16.2m).
The solar arrays, located at Xiangtan City, have been installed on the rooftops of 18 different enterprises. The company hooked the systems to the grid in October 2014.
The 30-MW project was backed by the Golden Sun Programme, under which the government provides subsidies to cover part of a solar project's costs. These subsidies are available only for solar power installations whose developers use the output to cover own demand.
Singyes Solar makes conventional curtain walls and building integrated photovoltaic (BIPV) systems. It also sells BIPV components, solar thermal collectors and other products. The firm installed some 106 MW of fresh solar capacity during the third quarter of 2014.
