March 13 (Renewables Now) - Savosolar Oyj said today that it has delivered a solar thermal system in Denmark for Grenaa Varmevаerk that is its largest turnkey project so far.

The system is in full operation since Monday and is now producing heat for the Grenaa district heating network. The field of thermal collectors takes up almost 21,000 sq m (226,000 sq ft).

Handing over the system to the customer is subject to some documentation and final adjustments, Savosolar said in a press statement.

"With this delivery in Denmark, one of the most competitive solar thermal markets in the world, we see a promising future when we now expand into new markets as the demand for our products strengthens further,” commented CEO Jari Varjotie.
