Satcon to supply solar power solutions for 10 MW project in New Jersey

Aug 11, 2011 - US photovoltaic (PV) systems provider Satcon Technology Corp (NASDAQ:SATC) today said it had received a supply order for its Prism Platform solar power solutions for a 10 MW solar power project in New Jersey.

The project's engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contractor Quanta Renewable Energy Services, a unit of Quanta Services (NYSE:PWR), and Ryan Company awarded the contract for the New Jersey Oak Solar project, which is owned by green energy projects developer Lincoln Renewable Energy.

Under the deal, Satcon will provide 10 units of its 1 MW Prism Platform solution, which is a turnkey utility-grade multi-megawatt building block with factory-integrated step-up transformers, MV disconnect switches and power conversion electronics. The solution will be configured with Satcon's Equinox inverters.

The solar plant will also use Satcon's Spectrum remote site control system, the company added.

The New Jersey Oak Solar project is slated for completion later this year.
