-- EDF Renewables seals PPAs for 128-MW solar-plus-storage project in California
EDF Renewables North America has inked PPAs with two parties for the output of a 128-MW solar-plus-storage project in Kern County, California.
-- New York issues 800-MW offshore wind procurement round
The US state of New York on Thursday launched its debut solicitation for large-scale offshore wind. It will award 25-year PPA to projects of between 200 MW and 800 MW, while it can contract higher capacity if “sufficiently attractive proposals are received.”
-- Turkey calls bids for 1 GW of onshore wind
The Turkish Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources has issued a tender for 1 GW of onshore wind power capacity, with a bidding cap of USD 0.055 per kWh.
-- Virginia greenlights 80-MW solar PPA petition by Dominion
The Virginia State Corporation Commission has cleared a proposed 80-MW solar PPA between a unit of Dominion Energy Inc (NYSE:D) and Water Strider Solar LLC.
-- Lightsource BP signs PPAs for 25 MW of solar power in US
Utility-scale solar developer Lightsource BP has signed two PPAs totalling 25 MW with utilities that serve clients in California and New Mexico.
-- Brazil sets price caps for Dec 7 auctions
Brazil's power sector regulator Aneel has approved the price ceilings for the auctions scheduled for December 7, 2018, which will contract electricity from existing plants.
-- Singapore seeks proposals for 100-MWp floating PV project
Singapore’s Economic Development Board (EDB) is seeking input on a project for the development of a 100-MWp floating solar park in the Kranji reservoir, in the northern part of the country.
-- UK to publish conditions for third CfD auction by end-2018
The UK government plans to publish this month its final policy decisions on changes to the contract for difference (CfD) scheme for the third round, which is set to open by May 2019.
-- Plan for 8 GW of special wind, PV tenders greenlit by German cabinet
The Federal Cabinet in Germany passed a bill, containing the plan for additional tenders for 8 GW of onshore wind and solar power between 2019 and 2021.
-- Tilt signs new PPA for 336-MW Aussie wind project, fin close is near
Tilt Renewables Ltd (NZE:TLT) has struck a 15-year PPA for 50% of the 336-MW Dundonnell wind project’s output with an investment grade counterparty.
-- Australia's Snowy Hydro contracts 888 MW of wind, solar generation
