Roofco to deploy in Europe Orion Energy's solar light pipes

Oct 23, 2012 - Orion Energy Systems Inc (NYSEAMEX:OESX), the US maker of energy management systems and solar photovoltaics (PV), said Tuesday its Apollo Solar Light Pipes will now be installed in Europe by UK firm Roofco Ltd.

The deal further expands the company’s sales channels on the continent.

Roofco is a unit of UK-based Ross Holdings Group. It will install in Europe the Apollo solution, which represents a revolutionary dome through which daylight is harvested, travelling in a sealed light pipe to enter the building and cut the need for artificial lighting during the day.

To date, the Apollo system has been installed in Belgium, Italy, Germany, France, Iceland, Switzerland, Holland and Norway by Orion’s partner Derbigum.
