India-focused power producer Mytrah Energy Ltd (LON:MYT) has placed orders with Chinese firm Risen Energy Co Ltd (SHE:300118) for 175 MWp of solar photovoltaic (PV) modules to be supplied this year.
Risen Energy said in a statement on Wednesday it will deliver PV modules in 72- and 60-cell configurations for installations spread across the Indian sub-continent. Mytrah will have the option to order an additional 50 MW.
The supplier gave no further details about the projects or the value of the contract.
Just recently, Mytrah said it had secured a direct loan facility of as much as USD 175 million (EUR 154m) from the Asian Development Bank (ADB) for new wind and solar schemes. The company will use the modules supplied by Risen Energy for some of these projects.
