October 24 (Renewables Now) - Chinese solar modules producer Risen Energy Co Ltd (SHE:300118) announced on Tuesday it won an EPC contract for the 50-MW NHI HA solar farm in Vietnam.

The company will supply high-efficiency modules and 5-busbar 1500V high voltage modules for the facility under an engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contract it signed with Thap Cham Solar, part of local malls and hotels developer Bitexco Group.

Located in Ninh Thuan province, the photovoltaic (PV) plant broke ground on October 1. Once completed, it is expected to generate some 81,429 MWh of clean energy per year. The output will be provided to EVN, the Vietnamese state grid operator.

This solar farm is the company's third in the same province, having already secured a 61-MW deal and a 50-MW EPC project there. Together, these three schemes elevate Risen's total capacity to 161 MW in Vietnam.
