UK-based RES Group has acquired Australian renewable energy asset manager Blueshore Pty Ltd, which comes with a 1.6-GW portfolio at home.
The value of the deal, announced by Blueshore on Monday, was kept under wraps.
Sydney-headquartered Blueshore provides commercial, technical and financial asset management services for utility-scale and commercial and industrial (C&I) solar and wind projects. It also provides advisory services for greenfield and brownfield sites, including construction management, operational inspections and supervision. Among the assets the company oversees is the 20-MW Royalla Solar Farm near Canberra.
Wirsol, Genex Power, Suntech and DIF Capital Partners are some of Blueshore’s clients, according to its website.
Thanks to the deal, RES has doubled its asset management portfolio in Australia to more than 3 GW and will be able to diversify in the Aussie market. The UK renewable energy group also has more than 4.7 GW of wind and solar projects under development in Australia.
