Renewables Infrastructure Group wraps up 276-MW wind, solar buy

Aug 15, 2013 - British firm The Renewables Infrastructure Group Ltd (LON:TRIG) said Tuesday it had finalised the purchase of 276 MW of wind and solar assets in the UK, France and Ireland.

The initial portfolio includes 14 operating wind farms with a combined capacity of 256 MW and four solar parks of 20 MW in total. The acquisition was previously described in the company’s initial public offering (IPO) prospectus in July. TRIG raised GBP 300 million (USD 460.8m/USD 348.1m) in the IPO on the London Stock Exchange (LSE) which were used to finance the asset purchase.

The company is structured as a closed-ended investment company with an indefinite life, registered in Guernsey.
