Renesola nabs 63-MW PV module supply deal in Thailand
Jul 23, 2013 - ReneSola Ltd (NYSE:SOL) said Monday it won an order to deliver 63 MW of solar modules to renewable energy firm Energy Absolute PCL (BKK:EA) in Thailand.
As part of the contract, the Chinese photovoltaic (PV) module maker will supply its Virtus II solar modules between August and October 2013. The equipment will be used for a solar project in Nakornsawan, eastern Thailand.
Financial details of the deal have not been disclosed.
Last week ReneSola boosted its second-quarter 2013 shipments, revenue and gross margin projections in part thanks to its expanding downstream operations. The company now expects to book April-June solar wafer and module shipments of 760 MW-770 MW, revenues of up to USD 375 million (EUR 284.4m) and a second-quarter gross margin of 5%-6%.
