Radiance Solar installs 400-kW solar system for Aquafil in Georgia

(SeeNews) - May 25, 2012 - US turnkey solar systems developer Radiance Solar LLC said it had completed this week a 400-kW solar power facility in the state of Georgia for local carpet fiber technology firm Aquafil USA.

The solar system, located at Aquafil's headquarters in Cartersville, includes 1,572 solar panels by US crystalline silicon solar cell and module maker Suniva Inc. The facility is estimated to generate 525,000 kWh a year.

Radiance Solar said it had recently completed over 700 kW of commercial and institutional solar installations in the Atlanta area. It also mentioned a USD-2.8-million (EUR 2.2m) grant from the US Department of Energy to support a joint project between Radiance, Suniva and the Georgia Tech Research Institute to develop commercially-ready solar photovoltaic balance of system design.
