Projekt Solartechnik secures PPA for 22 MW of Polish PV farms

Polish renewable energy developer Projekt Solartechnik (PST) said today it will supply electricity from photovoltaic (PV) farms of a total of 22 MW to domestic renewable energy trader Respect Energy for nearly six years under a power purchase agreement (PPA).

PST, part of Polish Famur (WSE:FMF) and TDJ groups, will feed a total of 130 GWh from March 2023 to the end of 2028 from two farms, one each in Zabice and Gniewino, northwestern Poland.

PST specialises in rooftop and ground-mounted PV installations, wind farms and the sale of solar facilities. Currently, it has an estimated 2.7 GW of capacity in its portfolio of solar projects in Poland, at various stages of development.

Recently, in November, PST signed a PPA with Polish major copper and silver producer KGHM Polska Miedz for energy supply from a 5.2-MW solar farm under construction in Turek, the west-central Wielkopolskie province.

Respect Energy, an independent player on the electricity market in Poland, deals only with electricity from renewable sources. It cooperates with more than 600 power generators in Poland, the company said on its website.
