Primoris lands USD-120m solar EPC job in US Southwest

US speciality contracting services provider Primoris Services Corporation (NASDAQ:PRIM) announced on Thursday that it won a USD-120-million (EUR 111m) solar project job in the Southwest region.

The contract was awarded to the company’s Energy/Renewables Segment and calls for the engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) of a utility-scale solar power plant. Initial project construction is planned to start in the second quarter of 2022, with completion scheduled for the first quarter of 2023.

“This will be our sixth contract with this solar customer and our eighth project in the Southwest region,” commented Tom McCormick, president and CEO of Primoris.

Primoris now has over USD 1.4 billion in solar projects completed or under construction in this region, according to the announcement.
