US utility and energy technologies provider PowerSecure International Inc (NASDAQ:POWR) said on Friday it has won USD 100 million (EUR 89.5m) in new solar projects at home.
PowerSecure did not give specific information about the projects, except that one of them is a ground-mounted installation for one of the largest investor owned utilities (IOUs) in the country. The new IOU order is pending clearance by the state public utility commission and a subsequent notice to proceed from the utility customer. Both conditions are seen to be met in the third quarter of 2015.
The company anticipates to recognise roughly USD 15 million in revenue from the new contracts in the final three months of this year and the rest throughout 2016.
The new deals come after PowerSecure won USD 120 million worth of utility grade solar projects in mid-2014 from a single IOU client. Also, the company recently unveiled USD 30 million of microgrid and energy storage projects that integrate solar resources.
